This Gap is about a tool that supports a trainer in having all the devices needed for the training (pen, marker, iphone, A4/letter sized notes) at their disposal whenever needed. See also myGap page.

Gathering User Data Experience:
The collection of User Needs unfortunately cannot be done in context in this week, as the accessibility to other people's training is restricted and not possible in this week. Doing this in context would of course be highly desireable as only then the actual use and need of devices in the work of this specific trainer would become obvisous. However, the author of this post observed other people beforehand in joined seminars and has herself large experience with trainings in various contexts. Therefore, interviews outside the specific context were used this week plus added with all my previous experience. Interviewees were happy to contribute and added new aspects, needs and devices that were not envisioned by me. They also all strongly supported the idea which is encouraging. It was interesting to see that some liked the toolbelt idea while others could not imagine to wear the stuff. They were more happy about a standalone idea.

My gap is the trainer tool as described on the MyGap page. The 5 Why's are the question above the asterix in the list below. The two lines below are the hows.

In what way might I

(why) relief trainer's stress
(why) improve trainer's performance
(why) allow trainer's to use their full capacity  on training and group/focus on their main task
(why) relief trainer's burden to keep track of their tools and make them accessible whenever needed
(why) provide an accessible storage space/tray that is always ready and there
*provide a storage and easy accessible/use tool (notes, pens, phone) for trainers
(how) build a bag or carriable device for pens and (letter/A4) notes
(how) fabricate a lightweight, great looking, stylish (either body attached or easy transpartable, standalone) toolholder
